Valentine’s Day Celebration - How to Make a Cake for My Love❤π❤
Ingredients:
For the cake:
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 ¾ cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk
- Pink gel food coloring
For the frosting:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pink and blue gel food coloring
For decoration:
- Piping bags with different nozzles
- Heart-shaped cake pan
- Edible glitter (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bake the Cake:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a heart-shaped cake pan.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
- Mix in pink gel food coloring to get a vibrant pink batter.
- Pour the batter into the heart-shaped pan and bake for 30–35 minutes. Let it cool completely before decorating.
2. Prepare the Frosting:
- Beat the butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar.
- Add vanilla extract and milk until the frosting reaches a spreadable consistency.
- Divide the frosting into two bowls: tint one pink and the other blue.
3. Frost the Cake:
- Spread an even layer of pink frosting over the entire cake, making it smooth.
4. Decorate:
- Use a piping bag with a rose nozzle to pipe five roses on the side of the cake. Alternate colors: pink and blue.
- Write "My First Love" on the top of the cake using white or pink icing in a piping bag with a small round tip.
- Optionally, sprinkle edible glitter for extra sparkle.
