How To Make  Honey Glazed Ham for Christmas Celebration!

Sweet and Savory, often with Caramelized Crust❤

Ingredients:

  • 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (7-10 pounds)
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar (or orange juice)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Ham

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Remove the ham from its packaging and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Place the ham in a roasting pan, flat side down. Score the surface in a diamond pattern, cutting about 1/4 inch deep.

2. Make the Glaze

  1. In a small saucepan, combine honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, butter, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, cloves, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is smooth (about 3-5 minutes).

3. Glaze and Bake

  1. Brush about 1/3 of the glaze over the ham, making sure to get into the scored cuts.
  2. Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, basting with glaze every 30 minutes.

4. Caramelize the Crust

  1. Remove the foil during the last 20-30 minutes of cooking.
  2. Apply the remaining glaze generously and let it caramelize. Watch closely to prevent burning.

5. Rest and Serve

  1. Once the internal temperature of the ham reaches 140°F (60°C), remove it from the oven.
  2. Let the ham rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
  3. Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy the sweet, savory, and perfectly caramelized
    dish!

Tips:

  • For extra caramelization, you can broil the ham for 2-3 minutes at the end, keeping a close eye on it.
  • Leftover ham can be used in sandwiches, soups, or casseroles!
